The Painting Garden is wonderful for birthdays and celebrations of all kinds. Let your children and other guest express themselves through painting beautiful handcrafted ceramic shapes handmade by artist, Rebecca Love.

HOW IT BEGAN. . .

The Painting Garden began many years ago at the Northern California Renaissance Faire where my friend Tommy Odom worked. Some years later, he began making his own shapes in my ceramic studio located in Occidental, California for smaller local festivals. His love for children and watching them create on the shapes he made gave him much joy. Many of the cookies cutters were made by the “old cookie cutter lady” at faire where she would sit for hours twisting and bending the metal on a jig from patterns she made. I still have some of those old, one of a kind cookie cutter shapes.

In September 2004, Tommy went home to be with the Lord at the young age of 42. In memory of his love for the children and the joy brought to them at the Painting Garden, I decided to carry the torch for the next faire that year. Well. . . I fell in love with the children, the making of these little ceramic shapes they so loved to paint and decided to continue the business adding my own creative ideas. It has grown since 2004.
